As we all know Frank likes to ‘FOCUS’ very hard on his work.  So, I have decided to help him with his pronunciation. Chinese  do not have the “L’ and ‘R’ sounds in their vocabulary and therefore find it difficult to pronounce some of our words.  With this in my mind  I decided to teach Frank the famous little tongue twister “Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry”  Just think about that for a minute…. can you imagine the levels of entertainment had from this?  Now before you think I’m being cruel and and deliberately using Frank for entertainment purposes he is also getting huge enjoyment out of teaching all of us Chinese and laughing hysterically at how we speak in his language.  In fact he laughed so much the other night at our attempts at the Chinese language that he said ”  My laugh too much, you are too fun, my belly does hurting, I must lie down”   So all in all it’s a bit of a win/win – laugh/laugh situation.   Some of the things he has taught us sound very funny and I have written my favourites  down phonetically for you below so you can try your hand at a bit of Chinese if you so wish.  You will also understand why we haven’t stopped laughing since Frank arrived:

Have a shower – Shitzu

Wash your hair – Shithole – yes that’s right -Shithole.

I want a drink – Hurt you  (yep – its great isn’t it!)

Watch TV – Condensed soup.

I eat dinner –  Chew wan  fat

Off to get Frank some port now – I think he’s becoming an alcoholic!
