Off Piste Posting (Any day thoughts)

I might owe you a bit of an apology but let me start with, “What’s a bit of spamming between friends?”
See, the thing is, I have a new website. Whilst this spanky new site was being titivated and old posts imported, it triggered the subscription list and you all got post notifications for posts you’d already read.
Not that that’s a bad thing – I mean why not read them again, eh? Perhaps I actually did you a favour. There you were all bored and listless thinking, Dunno what to do, to be honest. Maybe I should eat the rest of that trifle out of the fridge… Hmmm. Still, It’s been there a few days. Probably past its optimum eating date. And I’m supposed to be on a diet – doc says I’ve got to get my cholesterol level down. Fun sponge.
Could go for a walk with the dog but then this is the same time that Joyce goes and if I bump into her then I might risk being bored to death whilst faking smiles that hurt my face. What a dilemma. Ted Lasso is out – could go and watch that but now they’re doing that 1 episode a week thing like they all are. There’s just no fun in one at a time. I’m just not going to be controlled in this manner. I shall stand strong and wait for at least 3 episodes to come out before I cave!
Oh, what was that that just pinged? Oh look! Another blog post from that great British author, Jules Smith! Look at her thinking about us yet again with another re-read! Bless her heart…
So, there ya go. Anyway, I must trot as I’ve just bought a lovely cottage in a village and I’m going to fetch the keys today. Life is about to begin with yours truly taking over the Parish Council. What can possibly go wrong with that?
Stay tuned.

Well, thank you! Your Christmas present is going to be massive!
Vetted extensively, eh? Well, the more they look into me the more afraid they’ll get!
Village beware!

I agree. What is with dropping one episode a week– and trying to add commercials back? Didn’t we cut the cord for a reason?
I tend to watch older shows with multiple seasons and less of the woke agenda lately. I like your new website.

As I recall, those Parish Councils out in The Vale are pretty fearsome, you’ll probably fit in well!!

Oh yes definitely! And when you invite me out for the guided tour of the cottage and extensive grounds, I’ll tell you a story about Harby, Hose & Clawson Parish Council.

Now that I’ve had a sneak preview of both the cottage (has it a name or may we, your loyal and loving readers suggest one?) and the pub next door, I feel ahead of the power curve. There’s even an area for the wolves to run, but is there also space for a private cemetery for those who tick you off and vanish? Yes, plant endangered plants over them to make it illegal to exhume the remains.

You’re very privileged, LL.
It is called Marmalade Cottage though if you or any other reader feels I should name it something else then please, go ahead!
There’s an ancient cemetery nearby in the church grounds. I will have to watch they don’t go digging there! However, I like your style.

Lol-thought I was seeing things or losing my memory-had a bit of a scare at that!
Thanks for clearing the matter up. Having my own issues with technology so totally understand the quirks of switching!
Congrats on the new cottage! How exciting!

Technology can be a nightmare! And then there’s the hackers, trolls, and impersonators!
Thank you! At the moment it’s in need of some TLC so I hate it but soon it will be lovely.
Great to see you here, Cory!

Oh, so you ARE posting!
Your new site must have changed its RSS or summat, because it’s fucked up my feedreader: showing nothing from you for ages.
I thought you’d died.
You’ve moved into a village?
Same thing.

Yes, I am! Well, I’m being a bit lazy…
I can’t believe you thought I’d died and didn’t send flowers. Or write a song or something.
I’ve decided to rent it out and go on a jaunt to Cornwall instead.
