Daffodil close upSatirical Snapshots bringing you your daily dose of Corona Corner!

Good morning isolators!  It’s pandemic playtime!  Today I bring you another task to lighten your day and bring amusement to you and your friends.

Corona Corner #3

Today, being the Spring Equinox, a Friday and the fact we all need a bit of a lot of positivity at the moment, I decided to fill today’s post with Daffodils.  In the UK, Daffodils are the first sign of Spring and litter the verges and front gardens with shocking yellow!  So whilst you are “Wandering Lonely As A Cloud” and practising social-distancing, pay attention to the beauty around you like “A Host of Golden Daffodils”  and find your inner Wordsworth.

Let’s Call This Mellow Yellow

Today’s task is to spring into action and get outside – walking or in the car and look at the beautiful springtime flowers bursting through with their hopeful little petals!  Forget about toilet paper, whether Asda has any chickens, and get mellow with the yellow!

Yellow is known to be uplifting and inspires optimism.  Even dippy eggs, lemon curd and smiley faces are yellow!

Wherever you are in the world, find your flowers,

Do all things lemony,

and never forget to…

Next task on Monday!

Those flowers look beautiful.

And the street scenes make me homesick for Britain, which is not my home. But I lived there long enough that it felt like home to me at the time. You know how it is, you see something and there is an emotional connection with a place, a people, and things that were special in your life.

Thank you for the brief walk along a daffodil lined memory lane.

They are very beautiful and sadly don’t last very long. A month to six weeks and they’re gone. But they really do liven up the view!

Anywhere is your home if it has a piece of your heart – that’s what home is.

You’re very welcome, Mr. Wolf! 🙂

By your command I will look. It is supposed to be a nice day today but I think it is too early for my area. You might have to settle for my winter cactus that is still blooming.

A beautiful pictorial Julesy ! Nearly as gorgeous as you…even the infected version of you.
I did have to do a search for “dippy eggs” though. Neither of my British slang references had a mention of them. But the old reliable Urban Dictionary came through as usual.
Of the several definitions it listed for ‘dippy eggs’, I will assume they are the first 2, and not the others.

But then again, knowing you…..?
Love Ya,

You’re such a charmer, my bawcock! X

Well done on the old urban dictionary – the version I refer to on there is this one: A soft boiled egg in an egg cup with the top lopped off with a spoon so that you can dip your soldiers (long, thin slices of toast) in it. Eaten in the UK.

Yes – we call sliced up pieces of toast soldiers.

Luv ya! X

I’m with LL on this, the photos made me homesick for the Old Country. Beautiful and uplifting unlike the pics I’m seeing out of London, which are eerie and not very pandemic playtime at all.
DFTR.

DFTR! Fear the idiots still playing outside! DUH!

It’s all very beautiful and I understand that you might miss it – especially spring because it really is stunning over here!

Still found this in junk mail in spite of clicking ‘not junk’ for nos. 1 & 2. Anyway, do we gather you are on the mend and swanning about in the Monster Truck again?

I’m VERY unhappy that junk keeps stealing my posts! Sort that out, Rick!

I’m getting better, yes. Still not 100% but going out in the monster truck and road hogging! 🙂
