You could only make this up in fairyland where the most beautiful dreams come true.
I can’t actually believe it.
How all the right things have managed to come together all at once. I mean, how often does that ever happen? A miraculous melting pot of marvellous.
The sun is shining. In England. In February. I don’t know what’s going on cos it should be snowing, but spring has arrived and temperatures are in double figures.
It’s a Friday. Best day of the week. Nobody works on a Friday.
And, best of all, the icing on the cake, the pièce de résistance ?
It’s only National Margarita Day!
Oh yeah, baby. No joke. And I’m all in.
Please feel free to listen to the song I wrote about the best cocktail in the world here. Enjoy yours, have one for me, and I’ll see you at the crack of noon next week.
Cheers!

Frankly, I’m shocked. Don’t you know that drinking a margarita is cultural appropriation? Why, it’s nearly a sin of almost unpardonable proportions! The next thing you’ll be doing is wearing a sombrero or going around dressed as a clown, culturally appropriating one of them.
It’s a slippery slope that you’re sliding down.

Larry, you’re right of course. The audacity! But guess what? I don’t care! I’m going to have several and talk like a Cartel Don! As for clowns, I own that gig, and the sooner my red nosed disciples fall into place the better! Bring the slippery pole of depravity and let me slide!

La Fiesta: best place EVER to get a margarita………in the ‘80s…
brilliant song. Soft Cell did a cover of this I think. B-side of “Sex Dwarf” if I recall…

Luring disco dollies to a life of vice…oh wait…it worked! Heh! God, I’m easily led.
My sweet, La Fiesta is every day with Trivago guy. He’s the answer to all issues. *)

I agree with LL, you’re heading down a very slippery slope indeed. Next thing you know it’ll be OLD RAJ gin and outright colonialism, then you’ll have to report yourself for drink crime imperialism.

Good old, OLD RAJ! Now there’s a proper gin that makes a rather fabulous negroni!
You just can’t bloody win, LSP! 🙂

LSP is right, first unabashed and unapologetic cultural appropriation as you slosh back one margarita after another and then the thought of jingoism charges that are likely to be leveled if you sip Old Raj. Add to that your CLAIM that you are honorary French just because you can order from an over priced wine list. The sins are adding like the US National debt (now above $22 trillion), and when Kevin emerges from his winter slumber, I have no idea what he’ll do. When he spits fire on your drapes, don’t blame me for this. I’m innocent (possibly for the first time in my life). ;^)

So now I’m guilty of xenophobia. Pffft! Hate the sin, love the sinner! I shall do as I jolly well please – my halo is held up with pitchforks!
Kevin is out. I cured him. He knows where his bread is buttered.
You’re always guilty, Larry 😉
