October Dark and light: Inspired by the ‘two sentence’ horror stories I have decided to embark on a similar theme but mixing it up with one day of dark and menacing suggestion and the next of light and cheerful. Monday – Friday snippets from your Art Philosopher until All Hallows’ Eve is over…

…and all that progress ended as a family of falcons swooped down on the pigeons, helpless as they fed, killing and eating every last one…

And this highly lethal and contagious bird virus had been manipulated and carefully engineered by a ruthless scientist in his lab. Once infected it would cause bleeding throughout the body, organ failure and death within hours. And he, the lonely pigeon man had agreed to set it free among the birds in return for a quick death and release from this torment of a world. A world that needed to be rid of the parasites that inhabited it: the greedy, narcissistic, motherfucking power players that dominated the western world. Within weeks most of this land dwelling scum would be dead like him and the Earth could heal before starting again. Breathing in was freedom.

Wow. You two sure know how to go dark. And it looks like it didn’t take long.

Alternative dark to your light: The Chinese Bird Flu, which had infected the pigeons that he fed silently transferred to him as he breathed in the lethal virus.

“Drink the wine”, my darling, you said
“Take your time, consume all of it”
But the roses were only to drain my inspiration
The promises were spoiled before they left your lips and…
I breathe you in again just to feel you
Underneath my skin, holding on to
The sweet escape, is always laced with a familiar taste of poison
I tell myself that you’re no good for me
I wish you well, but desire never leaves
I could fight this til the end
But maybe I don’t want to win

Haha! OK, I’m practicing ‘doin’ the pigeon’ in front of my very big mirror. I think I’m a dab hand. Just need a stripy boating jacket and I’m all set. *)

My compliments to the man if he can stop the bird shitting on his trousers. Does he look a bit like Frank Spencer? Maybe not.

Ha! He does look a bit like him, yeah. Except I took that photo in Boston (not the one in Lincolnshire but that one in the States) Maybe he’s moved on from Phantom to pigeon man of Massachusetts!
